Bethlehem College welcomes Learning Environments Australasia Conference delegates.
Learning Environments Australasia is a unique community, bringing together a range of professionals interested in shaping learning environments, looking toward the horizon and sharing their collective knowledge and experience. This year’s conference theme sought to rethink the 3Rs for the exponential age: Reflection, Relevance and Revolution. Bethlehem College was one of the “On tour” sites for 46 delegates who chose to come and listen to the story of our building “revolution” and to tour the amazing 21st century learning facility, the Sister Aileen Thomas (T) Building.
After sampling the hospitality provided by our Year 11 Hospitality team, the delegates settled into a presentation designed to provide the context for their tour of the building, delivered by a representative of Neeson Murcutt Architects, Kirsty Hetherington and I. The presentation included a video with testimonies from teachers and students about the ways the new learning and breakout spaces had changed the way they learned.
The delegates were then led on a tour of the building by Year 12 and Year 7 SRC leaders. After many photos and questions, the delegates departed for their next site visit. They offered very positive feedback on the building, the wonderful tour guides and the hospitality provided by the College.
